If you live in the California and are interested in working with me in person or by video conference, please contact me (415-758-0252). You can email me, however note that email on the internet is not considered totally secure, so please include only your phone contact information and any non-confidential additional information you think might be useful for me to know before we talk. We can talk briefly and see what it might be like to work together.
I do consult with individuals that are interested in working on improving their relational skills.
Yes, consultations, both in the US and internationally are possible. See contact information above.
I have been schooled in many forms of psychotherapy, conflict resolution, personality typologies, dreamwork, creative expression, etc. and have found that the chemistry between client and clinician or consultant has a great deal of impact on the success of the work together. I can also refer you to other clinicians who may have different styles from me, upon request.
I do give workshops nationally and internationally. Please contact the organization sponsoring the workshop to enroll. I also am available to give a workshop for your group or team.
Contact me with your particular needs and we can talk about how I might be of service.
I provide typing interviews, consulting, and training regarding the Enneagram. Contact me and we can explore ways that Enneagram studies can be of help to you personally, and for your organization or team(s), if desired.
Freeing the Feminine Voice
I am available for consultation, presentations and workshops that pertain to my current publications:
Your Story Is Your Power
Your Story is your Power
How Do You Define Yourself?
In a very real sense, we define ourselves through our stories.
If we can truly understand the stories that made us the women and men thats we are, including the motivations behind our actions and thoughts, we can take charge of how our future unfolds.
What is at the heart of your story?
Follow the prompts, tools, questions, and advice through a labyrinth of self-discovery to reach the center of your voice, your power, your truth.
And then learn how to share that story—and all of your Feminine Power—with a world that needs to hear it.
Susie and Elle
An inspiring story about how one woman changed her father's life with an email.
As your daughter I urge you to please take these words to heart. In the future, I will not support you in doing any more of your shaming towards women or anyone, so if you call me for that, I will not oblige.
When Susie Herrick, a licensed psychotherapist then in her thirties, found herself emotionally and spiritually stuck in her relationships with the men in her life, she began an extraordinary journey toward her own enlightening experiences and toward the powerful insight that she ultimately helped deliver to her father.
That journey took her to the Himalayas; an encounter with a clawing eagle; an understanding of the state that Tibetan Buddhists call a bardo; the wisdom of the female teachers she met; and back--her raw inner world exposed as she navigates a difficult divorce. All of this results in Herrick's realization that how she had been treating herself was how her father had treated her mother. This transformed her life--as well as her father's.
Seeing the change in the way her father related to the women in his life inspired Herrick to share in this book--beautifully illustrated by the talented artist and designer Elle Luna--the lessons she learned so that she could help women examine their own life stories, take their own journeys, and empower them to speak with their own authentic voices.
I speak on any or all of the above topics, both at publicly at conferences worldwide as well as privately for corporations and organizations upon request.
I am not currently teaching university classes.
For years I was a full-time executive faculty and chair of the masters in counseling psychology programs, women’s spirituality, and spiritual guidance at the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology (now Sofia University) in Palo Alto, California as well as many years supervising clinicians and teaching at Santa Clara University's graduate program in counseling psychology. I left ITP at the end of 2013 and SCU in 2011.
